The state of Minnesota has formally adopted the 2018 edition of IAPMO’s Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC<sup>®</sup>), with state-specific amendments, to form the 2020 Minnesota Plumbing Code.
In order to facilitate the development of an updated National Standard Plumbing Code — Illustrated™ (NSPC), the IAPMO NSPC Committee requests proposed changes to the 2021 NSPC. All proposals are due by March 1, 2022. Proposals accepted by the technical committee will appear in the 2024 NSPC.

Today the IAPMO Board of Directors announced that IAPMO Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President Dave Viola has been appointed to chief executive officer effective Jan. 1, 2021, taking over for GP Russ Chaney, who is retiring after a quarter-century at the helm of the 95-year-old association.
