ASSE Extends Deadline to Apply for Working Groups Developing National Standards ASSE 1087 and ASSE 1378

Mokena, Ill. — ASSE International has extended the deadline for applicants wishing to serve on two unique working groups developing new national standards: Performance Requirements for Commercial and Food Service Water Treatment Equipment Utilizing Drinking Water (ASSE 1087) and Performance Requirements for Point of Entry Anion Exchange – Nitrate Reduction (ASSE 1378).

ASSE 1087 and ASSE 1378 working group members will be assisting the Product Standards Committee (PSC) with the continued development of these American National Standards. These working groups will operate in accordance with ASSE’s accredited procedures for standards development: IAPMO/ASSE PP-1 (Policies and Procedures for Consensus Development of American National Standards).

The first working group meetings will be held virtually in late July.

The deadline to apply is July 19. Applications can be downloaded HERE.

Industry stakeholders — including installers, manufacturers, plumbing professionals, building owners and managers, engineers, AHJs, and the general public — are encouraged to apply to participate.

Interested parties wishing to serve on these working groups, please contact ASSE Standards at standards@iapmostandards.org with a completed application, as well as a copy of your résumé by the July 19 deadline, or you may contact Terry Burger at (909) 519-0740 or by email at terry.burger@asse-plumbing.org with any questions.
