IAPMO Makes Tentative Interim Amendment (TIA) Available for Public Comment

In accordance with the IAPMO Regulations Governing Committee Projects, IAPMO would like to announce that a tentative interim amendment (TIA) to the 2024 edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC®) is being submitted for public comment.

UMC TIA 001-24 revises text in the 2024 edition of the UMC, Table 1801.1 (Referenced Standards), regarding an update to the UL 60335-2-89 standard. The comment form is located HERE.

IAPMO invites all interested parties to review the proposed TIA on the IAPMO website under Uniform Mechanical Code / Proposed TIAs and respond by filling out the comment form.

The deadline to submit comments is July 17. Completed forms may be emailed to Taylor Duran, mechanical code development administrator, at taylor.duran@iapmo.org.

ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000-2024 Now Available

ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI Series 6000-2024, the Professional Qualifications Standard for Medical Gas Systems Personnel, has been designated as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and is now available for purchase. This new edition of the ASSE Series 6000 builds on the 2021 version and includes key updates, including the addition of Standard 6070 for Medical Gas Systems Design Instructors.
