IAPMO® Uniform Evaluation Services Issues ER-950 to SPEC MIX, LLC

Ontario, Calif. — IAPMO® Uniform Evaluation Services (UES) is pleased to announce that SPEC MIX, LLC was recently granted UES Evaluation Report ER-950 for its SPEC MIX Fiber Base Coat Stucco to reference the 2021, 2018, 2015, 2012, 2009, and 2006 editions of the International Building Code® (IBC) and the International Residential Code® (IRC).

ER-950 states that the SPEC MIX Fiber Base Coat Stucco satisfies the applicable code requirements. This allows for the specification of the SPEC MIX Fiber Base Coat Stucco by architects, contractors, specifiers, and designers, and approval of installations by building officials. ER-950 also provides building officials with a concise summary of the products’ attributes and documentation of code compliance.

Products recognized with a UES Evaluation Report have successfully undergone evaluation based on applicable requirements within the Uniform Family of Codes and the International Family of Codes, as well as codes published by other entities. UES staff thoroughly examined SPEC MIX, LLC information, technical information, quality control methods, and other materials to determine the products are code compliant.

The UES program is built upon IAPMO’s more than 70 years of experience in evaluating products for code compliance. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the program operates under ISO/IEC 17065, “General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification Systems.”

UES offers a full range of recognition opportunities, including recognition for the applicable national model codes, as well as Florida, California, the city of Los Angeles, and various other state and local codes. By combining all these recognitions into one concise report prepared by an internationally recognized product certification body, the UES program reduces costs and increases value.

“SPEC MIX, LLC can now reference ER-950 for its SPEC MIX Fiber Base Coat Stucco to ensure that building officials and architect can now reference this information for their decision on approval.” UES Senior Engineer Rafael Donado said. “Our program strives on providing excellent customer service and the utilization of staff engineers with technical expertise.”
