    IAPMO Seeks USPSHTC Task Group Members

    Ontario, California — IAPMO® is seeking applicants to serve as technical experts on the Uniform Swimming Pool, Spa and Hot Tub Code (USPSHTC) task group.

    The USPSHTC Technical Committee is seeking special subject experts to join the following task group:

    USPSHTC Code Change Review Task Group: The scope of this task group is to review all proposals submitted as published in the 2025 USPSHTC Report on Proposals and develop public comments for technical committee consideration in the development of the 2027 edition of the USPSHTC.

    Task group members will participate via conference call or web meeting, provide their perspective on the code, and assist in drafting recommendations for action by the USPSHTC Technical Committee. Applicants are not required to be members of the USPSHTC Technical Committee.

    Topeka, Kansas, Adopts 2024 Uniform Codes

    The Topeka, Kansas, city council has formally adopted the 2024 editions of the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) and Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC®) as the plumbing and mechanical codes of practice protecting the health and safety of the city’s more than 125,000 residents. The adoptions make Topeka the fifth-most-populous city in the state of Kansas to adopt the UPC and UMC.
