IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service Issues ER-936 to Refrigerated Solutions Group

Ontario, Calif. — IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service (UES) is pleased to announce that Refrigerated Solutions Group was granted UES Evaluation Report ER-936 to reference the 2023 City of Los Angeles Building Code.

UES ER-936 states that the Nor-Lake and Master-Bilt Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Panels satisfy applicable code requirements. Architects, contractors, specifiers, and designers can now specify the Nor-Lake and Master-Bilt Walk-in Cooler and Freezer Panels with the approval of installations by code officials. UES ER-936 provides code officials with a concise summary of the product’s attributes and documentation of code compliance.

“The certification process with IAPMO was impressively fast and seamless.” Said Sravan Parvatareddy, Walk-in Design Engineer. “Their team really knows what they’re doing, and I felt well-supported throughout. A big shoutout to Adam and the team for their incredible job.”

“Refrigeration Solutions Group contacted us to help them navigate an Evaluation Report. With the City of LA’s LARR program being phased out, they are being proactive for their specifiers and end-users of their products,” said UES Strategic Initiatives Manager Adam Barefoot. “The City of LA ran a good program for alternative building products, and with a complete data set, the path to publication with IAPMO was smooth and fast.”

Products recognized with a UES Evaluation Report have successfully undergone evaluation based on applicable requirements within the 2023 City of Los Angeles Building Codes. The UES team examined Refrigerated Solutions Goup’s information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods, and other materials to determine that the products are code-compliant. UES is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the program operates under ISO/IEC 17065, “General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification Systems.”

IAPMO’s UES offers a full range of recognition opportunities, including acceptance for the applicable national model codes, Florida, California, the City of Los Angeles, and various other state and local codes. The UES program reduces costs and increases value by combining all of these recognitions into one concise report prepared by an internationally recognized product certification body.
