Ontario, Calif. — IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service (UES) is pleased to announce that ITW CCNA was granted UES evaluation report ER-890 to reference the 2021, 2018, 2015, 2012 and 2009 International Building Code® (IBC); the 2021, 2018, 2015, 2012 and 2009 International Residential Code® (IRC); the 2022 California Building Code (CBC); the 2022 California Residential Code (CRC); the 2023 and 2020 Florida Building Code, Building (FBC—Building); the 2023 and 2020 Florida Building Code, Residential (FBC—Residential); the 2023 Los Angeles Building Code (LABC); the 2023 Los Angeles Residential Code (LARC); and the 2013 Abu Dhabi International Building Code (ADIBC). ER-890 states that the ITW Red Head A7+ Adhesive Anchoring System satisfies applicable code requirements. This allows for the specification of the ITW Red Head A7+ Adhesive Anchoring System by architects, contractors, specifiers, and designers, and approval of installations by code officials. ER-890 also provides code officials with a concise summary of the products’ attributes and documentation of code compliance.
Products recognized with an IAPMO UES evaluation report have successfully undergone evaluation based on applicable requirements within the Uniform Family of Codes and the International Family of Codes, as well as codes published by other entities. The UES staff thoroughly examined ITW CCNA’s information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods, and other materials to determine the product is compliant with codes.
The UES program is built upon IAPMO’s more than 80 years of experience in evaluating products for code compliance. Accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB), the program meets the ISO/IEC 17065, “General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification Systems.”
IAPMO’s UES offers a full range of recognition opportunities, including recognition for the applicable national model codes, as well as Florida, California, city of Los Angeles, various other state and local codes, and codes adopted by other nations. By combining all these recognitions into one concise report prepared by an internationally recognized product certification body, the UES program reduces costs and increases value.
UES Vice President of Technical Operations Brian Gerber explains why Uniform Evaluation Reports are so valuable: “ITW CCNA can now refer UES ER-890 to code officials and users seeking information on the Red Head A7+ Adhesives. Establishing code compliance can be complex, and IAPMO UES uses logical, transparent methods to document a product’s conformance to the codes. The resulting evaluation report, such as ER-890, summarizes the information gathered into a concise, organized resource that helps clear the path for acceptance.”
