    Conservation is Not Deprivation

In a recent Green Fire Times op-ed, Christoph Lohr, P.E., IAPMO vice president of technical services and research, makes the case that New Mexico is well-positioned to become a national leader in building-level water conservation. Lohr highlights Santa Fe’s proven conservation success, the state’s long-term water challenges, and the need for practical code solutions that help buildings reduce water demand while protecting public health. He explains how IAPMO’s WE-Stand provides jurisdictions with a flexible, adoptable framework for water-efficient plumbing fixtures, hot water system design, gray water and onsite reuse, rainwater catchment, HVAC condensate recovery, leak detection, and other proven strategies that can help turn New Mexico’s water policy goals into measurable savings. Read full article on page 25 in the newest issue of Green Fire Times below.
