Jurisdictions worldwide depend on the IAPMO Uniform Codes as their base document. The IAPMO Uniform Codes provide consumers with complete requirements while allowing latitude for innovation and new technologies. Our codes are based on the accredited American National Standard (ANS) development process which ensures consensus. Adoptions can include amendments based the State’s need into a convenient single publication. Jurisdictions wishing to adopt an IAPMO Uniform Code as an enforceable regulations governing the installations of plumbing, mechanical, solar, hydronics, geothermal, swimming pool or water efficiency system should look into the IAPMO ANSI Consensus based documents.
