    SCB Earns AS9110 Accreditation

Ontario, Calif. — SCB (Systems Certification Body), part of The IAPMO Group, has been accredited by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) to offer AS9110 Rev C. Certification Services. AS9110 is a standard that defines the quality system requirements for organizations whose primary business is in the aircraft industry at all levels of maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) process.

“Obtaining AS9110 accreditation now completes the entire suite of the major aerospace certifications SCB can offer,” said Senior Vice President Shirley Dewi. “AS9110 is the perfect complement to our current AS9100 and AS9120 certifications and allows us to penetrate a new market while further servicing our customers who have been looking to obtain this certification.”

The first customer to obtain AS9110 certification through SCB is Axxeum, Inc., located in Huntsville, Alabama. Axxeum provides a full spectrum of worldwide aviation services in the areas of professional services, aircraft repair and modification, cutting and assembly of wiring harnesses, and is a distributor of aerospace OEM parts, components and materials.

“As an organization we are certified to AS9100 and AS9120 through SCB and it’s been a wonderful partnership,” said Axxeum QMS Quality Manager Michael Georgantis. “Having them as our certification body for AS9110 was an easy decision and we are thrilled to be part of this wonderful achievement.”

SCB is committed to meeting clients’ needs and helping them stay out in front of a complex and always-changing environment. Its customer base serves industries such as aerospace and defense, information technology, medical, automotive, engineering and manufacturing, and service providers/government contractors.

“We have had a very busy few months at SCB,” Dewi said. “We launched a full rebrand last month and achieved AS9110 accreditation just over a month later. This a huge accomplishment and truly solidifies our growing presence in the aerospace industry.”
