Construction Products Group expands support for manufacturers with certification, testing and ongoing quality assurance services
Ontario, California — Construction Products Group of IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service (UES) is now an accredited certification body (ISO/IEC 17065) for The Polymeric Exterior Products Association’s (PEPA) VSI Product Certification Program and a PEPA member.
PEPA, formerly the Vinyl Siding Institute, represents manufacturers of polymeric exterior building products, including cladding, trim, decking, fencing, roofing, railing, gutters and related components. As a PEPA member, IAPMO UES also supports the association’s efforts to advance industry standards, sustainability and workforce development.
“Becoming an accredited certification body for the VSI Product Certification Program further expands the Construction Products Group’s means of support to manufacturers methods of demonstrating code compliance while bringing their products to market,” said Jerry Carrier, senior vice president of Construction Products Group. “We offer manufacturers access to certification, testing and ongoing quality assurance services backed by the technical expertise and responsive service they have come to expect from IAPMO Construction Products Group.”
UES verifies that qualifying products meet applicable codes and standards. Certified products may bear the VSI certification mark and are listed with their Product Evaluation Reports (PERs) or Product Certification Listings (PCLs) in the IAPMO UES PEPA directory.
In addition to UES certification, Construction Products Group offers testing and ongoing quality assurance services through The IAPMO Institute of Building Technology (IBT) and IAPMO Quality Control Consultants (QCC).
IBT provides testing to assess the performance characteristics of vinyl siding products and materials, supporting product development, certification, code compliance, and market acceptance.
QCC provides quality assurance services, including material witnessing and sampling, quality system support, audits and inspections required for initial certification and continued compliance.
