IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service Issues ER-924 and ER-925 to Spray Foam Genie

IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service Issues ER-924 and ER-925 to Spray Foam Genie

Ontario, Calif. — IAPMO’s Uniform Evaluation Service (UES) has granted UES Evaluation Reports-924 and 925 to Spray Foam Genie, referencing the 2021, 2018, 2015, and 2012, editions of the International Building Code® (IBC), the International Residential Code® (IRC), and the International Energy Conservation Code® (IECC). ER-924 and ER-925 state that Spray Foam Genie’s SFG 2.0 CC and SFG 1.7 CC satisfy applicable code requirements. This allows for the specification of SFG 2.0 CC, and SFG 1.7 CC by architects, contractors, specifiers, and designers, and approval of installations by code officials. ER-924 and ER-925 also provide code officials with a concise summary of the products’ attributes and documentation of code compliance.

Products recognized with an IAPMO UES evaluation report have successfully undergone evaluation based on applicable requirements within the Uniform Family of Codes and the International Family of Codes, as well as codes published by other entities. UES staff thoroughly examined Spray Foam Genie’s information, test reports, calculations, quality control methods, and other materials to determine the products are code compliant.

“The issuance of ER-924 and ER-925 is significant for Spray Foam Genie and for our industry,” said Keith Ryan of Spray Foam Genie. “UES provides thorough and fair technical reviews and is very receptive to our needs. Spray Foam Genie appreciates UES’ passion for what they do, and we highly recommend them.”

The UES program is built upon IAPMO’s more than 70 years of experience in evaluating products for code compliance. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the program operates under ISO/IEC 17065, “General Requirements for Bodies Operating Product Certification Systems.”

IAPMO’s UES offers a full range of recognition opportunities, including recognition for the applicable national model codes, as well as Florida, California, city of Los Angeles, and various other state and local codes. By combining all these recognitions into one concise report prepared by an internationally recognized product certification body, the UES program reduces costs and increases value.

“Spray Foam Genie can now reference ER-924 and ER-925 for its SFG 2.0 CC and SFG 1.7 CC spray foam insulation, which allows code officials to easily access the information needed for preparing permits,” said UES Vice President Richard Beck. “Our program stands out because of superb customer responsiveness and the quality of our reports and listings. Our experienced in-house staff, along with associated professional engineering firms, are committed to providing the best possible service to the building industry.”
