IAPMO R&T Grants Mexican Plumbing Listings to Fluidmaster

Ontario, Calif. – IAPMO R&T, North America’s leading provider of certification and listing services for manufacturers of plumbing, mechanical and solar products for the United States, Canadian and now Mexican markets, is pleased to announce that Fluidmaster has joined the growing list of companies to gain certification through IAPMO R&T’s new Mexican Certification program.

Fluidmaster has successfully completed NOM certification for its industry-leading Fluidmaster® 400 fill valve, as well as the popular Model 300. In addition, 507 and 540 series flush valves have been added to the listing to provide a complete trim package for a broad range of EOM configurations. Retail valves are also now NOM certified through IAPMO R&T.

“IAPMO R&T has been a valued U.S. and Canadian certification partner for Fluidmaster for many years and their new certification program for the Mexican market makes them even more invaluable to us,” said David Marbry, Fluidmaster Codes and Standards engineer. “IAPMO’s Product Review Engineer Juan Gutierrez worked closely with us, providing bilingual support and insight that saved us time and expense when compared to previous NOM certifiers. We look forward to continuing our work together to test and certify the very best toilet trim products for Fluidmaster customers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.”

IAPMO R&T is accredited to certify plumbing products, including toilets, showerheads, flushometer valves, and fill and flush valves for use throughout Mexico by the nation’s premier nongovernmental body for the accreditation of testing laboratories and certification bodies, entidad mexicana de acreditación, a.c. (ema), as well as gained recognition by Comisión Nacional del Agua (CONAGUA).

“We are extremely pleased to see longtime clients such as Fluidmaster choose our program when marketing their products in Mexico,” said IAPMO R&T’s Jin Luo. “The same fast, trusted service on which manufacturers have come to rely from IAPMO R&T is now available to them in a whole new market in Mexico.”

IAPMO and IAPMO R&T have provided comprehensive certification services throughout the United States since the 1930s and expanded into Canada 10 years ago, soon growing into the leading provider by far of plumbing product certifications in the nation. In January, IAPMO R&T expanded its certification services to include Mexico.
