    ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI/CAN Series 22000-2026 Now Available Professional Qualifications Standard for Water Treatment Equipment Personnel

    Mokena, Illinois — ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI/CAN Series 22000-2026, Professional Qualifications Standard for Water Treatment Equipment Personnel, has been designated as an American National Standard by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and a National Standard of Canada by the Standards Council of Canada (SCC), and is now available for purchase in both English and French.
     
    ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI/CAN Series 22000-2026 contains the uniform minimum requirements for qualified installers and service technicians of water treatment equipment.

    ASSE/IAPMO/ANSI/CAN Series 22000-2026 includes: Standard #22001, References; Standard #22010, Water Treatment Equipment Installers; and Standard #22020, Water Treatment Equipment Service/Repair Technicians.

    Certification to these standards may be adopted as requirements by local authorities having jurisdiction, building owners, or employers, further reinforcing the importance of professional qualifications in ensuring the safe and effective installation and servicing of water treatment equipment.

All proposals recommending new text, revised text, or the deletion of text must be written in legislative format and clearly state the reason behind the recommendation.

    Texas Adopts 2024 Uniform Mechanical Code

    IAPMO® applauds the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) for its adoption of the 2024 Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC®) for applications regulated under the state's Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Contractors program. The updated code is scheduled to become effective Sept. 1.
