OUR HISTORY
Founded in 1926, the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO®) coordinates the development and adaptation of plumbing, mechanical, swimming pool and solar energy codes to meet the specific needs of individual jurisdictions both in the United States and abroad. Many of the requirements of its Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC®) protect the health and safety of half the people in the world.
Plumbing systems are only as safe and efficient as the products that they are made of and the people installing them. Standards of practice, such as the Indonesian National Standard, SNI 8153:2015, Plumbing Systems for Buildings — many of whose requirements are based on the UPC — help mitigate risk and assure safe, healthy drinking water and sanitation.
PT IAPMO Group Indonesia (IGI) is a complete service conformity assessment body and a subsidiary of the IAPMO Group with headquarter office in Ontario, California - USA.
IGI was established in 2016 to support the Indonesian government in the development of plumbing system standard and related conformity assessment activities. Since its inception, IGI has extended its commitment to the Indonesian government beyond plumbing to include supports for construction, building, mechanical, hygiene and sanitation, food equipment, and many more areas for standardization and conformity assessment. IGI also supports the advancement of green and sustainability measures in Indonesia.
IGI’s head office and laboratory facility is located in Cikarang, Indonesia’s largest industrial area, and is ready to serve industrial stakeholders to enter both the Indonesian market and international market.
Today, PT IAPMO Group Indonesia services has expanded beyond the plumbing industry. Our services includes testing, inspection, certification, and training services with a state-of-the-art facility in Bekasi, Jawa Barat for plumbing, building materials, raw materials, and food equipment industry. Recognized the world over for its testing, inspection, certification, and training knowledge and experience, IAPMO fully understands the importance of the value of quality, timeliness and customer needs.
