Exam Details 

• Exams offered: Journeyman Plumber (2021 UPC), Master Plumber (2021 UPC)
• Journeyman Exams - 100 Multiple Choice, 3 hours allowed exam time
• Master Exams - 125 Multiple Choice, 4 hours allowed exam time
• Open book
  • 2021 Uniform Plumbing Code only
• Passing grade: 70%
• Examination Fee: $125

Prior to registering for the exam, it is required to have Kearney, NE Approval.  You will not be allowed to test if you have not yet received approval.  

What to Bring to Your Exam

For exam security and integrity purposes you are only allowed to bring the following references into the exam environment.

• Uniform Plumbing Code - Candidates can bring in an original copy of the Uniform Plumbing Code for use on the exam. However, it must meet all of the following criteria.
  • It must be an original copy in its original binding, meaning it cannot be a photocopied version of the code.
  • The version of the code book (2021 UPC) must match the code year the exam. If there is a mismatch between the code and the exam year, candidates will not be allowed to take the exam.
  • No loose papers or notes are allowed to be inserted or written into the code book. Any of these items found before the exam begins will be required to be removed from the testing environment. Any of these items found during the exam will result in the exam being immediately terminated and the violating candidate will be reported
