IAPMO offers professional credentialing services through our certification and license testing programs. Our certification program provides plumbing, mechanical inspectors and plans examiners a way to demonstrate their competency and ability to perform those jobs. We also provide journeyman and master license testing for plumbing and mechanical installers in a variety of areas. Our testing platform provides testing options aimed at making the testing experience as convenient and stress free as possible.

IAPMO provides National Personnel Certification exams to assesses the expertise in construction codes as an indicator of ability and professionalism. It provides a valid and reliable professional testing program for plumbing, mechanical inspectors and plans examiners. The program sets the minimum level of competence for individuals working in the profession and commits them to continuous self development through a recertification renewal program.

Obtaining an IAPMO certification is a significant professional accomplishment. For this reason, it is important continually validate that certified individuals are competent in the areas in which they are certified. As a result, it is critical to commit to continuous self development to demonstrate your continued competence when you renew your certification(s).  IAPMO certifications are valid for three years and must be renewed on or before the expiration date.
